Hello Neighbors!
This year, Chipper Day will be Saturday, May 8th 2021!
What is Chipper Day?
Chipper Day is an annual community-wide event to clean up excess brush and limbs to keep our neighborhood safe from fires and looking nice. In general, the tips of a tree’s branches should be at least six feet from your roof to protect in case of high wind, fire or animals using it like a highway to your home. Spring is a great time to trim those up as well as all the branches that fell during the fall and winter.
We have contracted with a local landscape company to be in the subdivision on Saturday May 8, 2021, with their chipper, and they will travel to each area of the neighborhood, chipping as they go!
Here is what you need to know:
- Chipper Day service is FREE to current paid members of the HOA
- Non-members may participate for $75, or join the HOA for $60 (and then get the service FREE!) For information on joining the HOA or paying dues, click here.
- Brush piles can be no larger than what you can put in the back of a pickup truck (roughly 8 feet long by 6 feet wide). The crews will not take anything larger.
- If you have a substantial amount of brush you can contract separately with the company. Greens Tree Service (828) 693-5489
- Brush will need to be out by the road (not IN the road) by Friday May 7th.
- Brush and branches can be no larger than 6” in diameter.
- Items that cannot (and will not) be chipped: construction debris, vines, finished lumber, bamboo, stumps, potted plants, flower bushes or stems/plants with thorns. This is for the protection of the workers as well as the equipment.
- Please indicate your intention to participate by contacting Matt Heller (ramblingridgehoa@gmail.com) by May 1, 2021 so we can add you to the pick up list!
Thank you in advance for taking part in this important event to keep our neighborhood clean and safe!
