Rambling Ridge Plant Swap
While spring is several weeks away, we already can begin to see the daisies, daffodils and other early risers poking up and getting ready to bloom! Soon some of us will find that we need to split some perennials while others may see a patch of land that could use some new growth.
With that in mind, let’s see if there is interest in either sharing our bounty or if others have some surplus plants that they would like to share. In addition, please indicate whether you want help cutting and digging out your perennials or need help to take advantage of someone’s offering. And you can include any houseplants that you would like to find a new home for.
Call or share your information (what plants you have, what you might be looking for, your name and contact info and if you are willing to dig your own or need help) with Chris Frey (734-478-2094), crispy275@gmail.com
or fill out the Google Doc here: (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vDMygthoS1IoH5NPX-JOqqR4W5RgmlubEfstY3_7UdQ/edit#gid=0).
If this sparks enough interest, we can potentially identify a specific day and location where plants can be dropped off and picked up!

Annual Meeting Tomorrow!

POTLUCK at NOON! Bring a dish to share (Serena, will we see that amazing apple pie again?) We have many new neighbors, we’d love to meet you!
Meeting will start at 1 pm!
We have a special speaker from Firewise who will be available for questions and will chat with us for 15 minutes before the meeting!
Rosewood Repair is complete!

Construction began at 5 am on Saturday morning and was mostly completed by 10 pm! The residents on Rosewood lost their power and water (and some internet) for the day but the DOT was able to restore by Saturday evening, a day ahead of schedule!
The supervisor at DOT was so impressed with the friendly neighbors who brought them water, brownies and donuts!
There will be more cleanup, road repairs and landscape repairs over the next few weeks.
DOT also said the road will be paved in 2 weeks once the new stone settles some.
Please keep from driving on the road unless you need to and as always, refrain from interupting the workers with chit chat so they can get it all done. (a friendly wave is ok!)
Thank you all for your patience and support!
Meadowood/Rosewood Road Repair and Road Closure
Hello neighbors!
This is for those living on the Rambling side of Rambling Ridge, specifically those on Rosewood trail. For the last month, DOT and contractors have been assessing and digging along Meadowood trail after an uprooted tree caused underground damage to the road. After several tries to repair the pipe, they have decided the whole pipe needs to be replaced.
Rosewood will be closed Sat/Sunday, August 13th & 14th. Be prepared for extra noise, parked cars on Rambling Drive and delays from that area.
Possible Water Outage Today
Hi Neighbors!
Aqua is working on a possible leak on the Rambling Drive/Meadowood in the neighborhood. Hopefully everyone has received the notice from Aqua about low pressure and a possible outage. If you did not receive a text, phone call or email from them be sure to contact them to verify your info.
This is a leak that has been reported a few times over the years and could possibly be a natural spring! Let’s hope they find out today.
Be sure to boil water or use bottled water until you get the OK from Aqua for human consumption again.

Spring Meeting Today at 1 pm

Just a reminder!
Our Spring meeting is today, Saturday, June 11th at 1:00! Potluck lunch at noon.
We would love a full house! ALL are welcome, you don’t have to be an HOA member to attend and hear about the neighborhood we love. (If we take a vote on something, you do have to be a member) New here? We’d love to meet you!
Water and Iced Tea will be supplied or bring your own non-alcoholic drink
Hope to see you there!
Possible Aqua Outtage
This is an important message from Aqua sent 04-22-2022 to customers in the Rambling Ridge system. Aqua customers are experiencing periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system due to an emergency repair. Periods of low or no pressure in the distribution system increases the potential for back siphonage and introduction of bacteria into the water system.
Once your water service is restored, we suggest that as a precaution, you boil water or use bottled water for human consumption (including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth and food preparation). Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute kills disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water. This advisory does not mean that the water is contaminated; this advisory is being issued only as a precautionary measure. Customers are strongly encouraged to conserve water whenever possible.
After Aqua makes repairs, we will collect a water sample and send it to a drinking water laboratory for tests. As soon we receive satisfactory test results, Aqua will contact you to lift this advisory. This process typically takes 24-48 hours after water service is restored.
Please monitor our webpage on system pressure advisories for an estimated time work will be completed and water service restored: https://www.aquaamerica.com/customer-service-center/service-disruptions.aspx
We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions, please call Aqua toll free at 877.987.2782.
Aqua Water Update
Update: Thank you to the Aqua repairmen who worked through the night to get our water back around 4 am! That was an unusually long outage!
Hello Neighbors!
It’s 10 pm and our water has been out since the afternoon for those on Aqua service. They have been working at Loggers and Eagle Rock Trail repairing a leak or a break.
Kris Frey reports the repair men are still out there now, working hard with big lights on, to get us running again! I wish we had a time to give you but hopefully it’s soon.
We do have a call in to Aqua to call us tomorrow to address communication issues. Most neighbors we talked to today didn’t get a text or call that the water was being shut off.

Map of Rambling Ridge Secondary Roads

Kris Frey found this great map that might be helpful to know which roads in Rambling Ridge are state maintained. Thx, Kris!
